LETTER TO CNN

You call what you do on t.v. news? We know you guys are nothing but propagandists for the government. It was your job, as the press, to keep the White House, Congress, and Justices honest in their lives and their dealings - providing information for a public hungry for the truth about their leaders and the directions they are taking the country. You guys have been failing for years and that is why you are losing your viewership. We know that you have sold out and feed us a bunch of stories that don't matter dick to what's happening to our country and other countries by our current foreign and domestic policies. While you stream endless stories of, as you said, Michael Jackson, Martha Stewart, and Natalie Hardaway, thousands are being slaughtered in Iraq, soldiers are dying from the use of depleted uranium, people on Medicaid and Medicare suffer from injust cuts to necessary healthcare. The Downing Street Memo proves that Bush pushed for this war before congress even gave approval for it. The memo even says that they will have to fix the policy around the war, but you don't see this on the news reported by any of the channels, but not because it is not important enough, but because you have sold out. I hope that finally, all of you guys realize what you have sold out to, so that maybe you will change your minds about that decision and start doing the real work of informing the American citizens about the issues, which are important, even to this moment now. Why don't you look into Wayne Madsen's report on someone jamming the communications in the New Orleans area, on FEMA refusing to allow anyone in to help, on FEMA cutting the emergency communications of local emergency efforts through county Sherrif's departments. Why don't you report that, while the Red Cross is getting millions and millions of dollars in donations to help the people in New Orleans, there is noone working in the deeper parts of the city, where people need help the most. We are getting countless reports in the alternative media of people saying there are no signs of a relief effort and people have been neglected to the point of dying. People are dying and have been dying for days and days. Somebody's got to help them.
