Your continuous advocacy for the passage of MiCASSA is making a difference.
We now have Real Choice System Change grants, Money Follows the Person laws
in several states and a federal MFP bill, S 528, has been introduced.
Funding support for institutions is eroding (long term care funding in
2004, institution vs community, 64.5% vs 35.5%.)., although there is still
a bias and waiting list for home and community based sevices still exist so
PLEASE continue your advocacy.  Major Medicaid reform could occur by the
end of the year.
